Sail
Loft  
Open the door into our newly renovated Sail Loft which you reach
by traversing the back staircase and entering to the left of
the second floor landing. This comfortable well-lighted room
was previously called the Martin Room and, in the renovation,
Nick increased its size by removing a small hallway and improved
its brightness by adding a fifth window. A handsome skirted
four poster queen bed is surrounded by rich yellow walls, elegant
white fabric and avocado sheer in the window treatment and dark
chocolate carpeting. The bathroom has a pedestal sink, a large
shower with seat, a bidet and a beautiful black and green marble
floor. Three windows face the north and afford our guests a
glimpse of The InnÕs gardens and two windows open to the south
and the towering umbrella of linden trees. There is a wonderful
desk with a dataport which can double as a ladyÕs dressing table.
A full-length bookcase in the room turns into a hidden entry
door to its neighbor, the Lavender Room, which can be opened
to creat a suite. The Sail Loft also lends itself to a rollaway
cot for a third guest in the room.
As with all our guest rooms, the Sail Loft Room has a private
bathroom, air conditioning (in-season), cable television, a
VCR (we have movies for all ages), AM-FM clock radio/cassette
player and a telephone. All beds have special reading lights
or side tables with reading lamps. We also have CD players which
our guests may use in their rooms. In our guest rooms with woodburning
fireplaces, we provide unlimited firewood at no charge.
